An API is an interface that allows two different
platforms or applications to communicate using a
common language.
Textvertising offer HTTP POST and XML over HTTP.
During February 2008, we will also be adding
SMPP.
We can also offer a host
of other pre-written applications.

via API.
Existing clients can already take advantage
of our SMS Gateway. Information is available as
a PDF download.
API
Integration.
Our API allows you to have inbound SMS
requests (either from our Virtual Mobile number
or one of shortcodes) sent to your application
via HTTP POST.
Your server could process each request and
initiate an SMS or PSMS HTTP POST response.
We also provide dynamic delivery reports for
PSMS posts which you can request by supplying a
return URL in your HTTP POST.

How are we different.
As an example, one of our most popular requested
applications will give you the flexibility to
create SMS content (for example to send a WAP
PUSH message containing dynamic links) by HTTP
GET request.
When your client texts your keyword, our system
will take care of the complicated bits, then
simply "asks" your server to supply the
information that should be sent by SMS and swaps
this with the clients information ready for you
to database. This requires you to only create a
very small application whilst being assured that
our system is taking care of the rest.
